Migrate Roundcube contacts

Migrating your email to Cyberfusion, and also want to migrate contacts?

This article describes how to migrate your contacts from an old webmail interface to https://cyberfusion.email (Roundcube).

Is your old webmail interface:

Not sure?

Compare your old webmail interface with the one at https://cyberfusion.email. Does it look the same or very similar—apart from the logo in the top left and the colours? Likely, Roundcube is used.

To be sure: look for an 'About' button (like the one below) in the leftmost sidebar and click it. A dialog window should appear containing the text 'Roundcube Webmail'.

Export

In your old webmail interface:

  1. Navigate to 'Contacts' in the leftmost sidebar. Roundcube contacts
  2. Select the contact group to migrate.
  3. Click the 'Export' button in the top bar above the contact panel. Roundcube top bar export
  4. A file called "contacts.vcf" should start downloading.

Import

On https://cyberfusion.email:

  1. Navigate to 'Contacts' in the leftmost sidebar. Roundcube contacts
  2. Click the 'Import' button in the top bar above the contact panel. Roundcube top bar import
  3. Click the 'Browse' button next to 'Import from file'.
  4. Customise any other settings as required.
  5. Click the 'Import' button.

Other webmail interface

Look for an online guide on exporting contacts from your old webmail client.

Contacts need to be exported to a ".vcf" or ".csv" file. Then follow the steps in 'Import'.
