Migrate Roundcube contacts

Migrating your email to Cyberfusion, and also want to migrate contacts?

This article describes how to migrate your contacts from an old webmail interface to https://cyberfusion.email (Roundcube).

Which route you need

Is your old webmail interface Roundcube?

• Yes → Export, then Import. About 5 minutes.
• Something else → Other webmail interface.
• Not sure → How to check.

How to check if it's Roundcube

1. Look for an 'About' button in the leftmost sidebar of your old webmail interface.
2. Click it.
3. The dialog says 'Roundcube Webmail' → it's Roundcube.

Quicker check: compare your old interface with https://cyberfusion.email. If it looks the same apart from the logo and the colours, it's likely Roundcube.

Export

In your old webmail interface:

1. Navigate to 'Contacts' in the leftmost sidebar.
2. Select the contact group to migrate.
3. Click 'Export' in the top bar above the contact panel.
4. A file called "contacts.vcf" starts downloading.

Import

On https://cyberfusion.email:

1. Navigate to 'Contacts' in the leftmost sidebar.
2. Click 'Import' in the top bar above the contact panel.
3. Click 'Browse' next to 'Import from file' and pick the file you exported.
4. Change any other settings if you need to.
5. Click 'Import'.

Other webmail interface

1. Search for an online guide on exporting contacts from your old webmail client.
2. Export to a ".vcf" or ".csv" file.
3. Follow the steps in Import.
